J and I have had a lot of expenses recently. Therefore, we've been trying to spend quality time with one another without going over budget. Last weekend we planned an impromptu date by playing the game of Life and buying 1/2 off Sonic Milkshakes.  Total cost $5. 
It was so much fun because we were able to chat with one another and talk a lot of smack! I won because he gambled all of his money! Ha! 
Morale of the story: don't assume that you cannot have date night because you are low on funds. Get creative and you can have a lot of fun on a budget!
